my muse and christmas fun

And the inspired writing continues. As I listened to a song I believe is called Breathe, just breath, by Anna Nalick the other night, I ran inside, opened my notebook and wrote five 8x11 pages worth of poetry. And it's good stuff. And it's real stuff. And I'm experiencing the creator through it SO much, it's unreal.
THEN....
The other evening my roommates and I celebrated Christmas together!! We got take out chinese, peppermint icecream from Baskin n robbins, the movie scrooged, and set off for home. We ate and talked over amazing chinese and shiraz Three buck chuck and shared deeply from our hearts what's been going on lately. With our different work schedules, we haven't connected in like 2 months. So, that part was intense and so special. Then, we opened gifts. So much fun too! Fun themed gifts, silly inside joke gifts and practical wonderful meaningful gifts. Later, we ate peppermint icecream with champagne and decorated a gingerbread house that I bought at Jewel. It was SO much fun...and I'll have to post some of the pics on here that Vivian took when she uploads them. They are fantastic! We seriously are dirty decorators though, because icing, champagne and little candy pieces were everywhere the next morning. If you have never done this though, do it. It's seriously a great time!
After the house, we were all a little giggly and so we popped in scrooged and within the first five minutes every girl in the house was asleep. And the funny part is that over the next two days I heard from my roommates seperately and more than once, "I don't even remember watching scrooged." I guess it's not that great of a movie or we were just DONE. Anyways, it was a great Roommate Christmas party and I am so greatful for them.
Last night I went to the Axis Christmas service. There, I was pleasantly surprised to here the best gospel presentation I have ever heard. Also, there was an incredible retelling of the Christmas story and a halarious Christmas dance by the Axis Staff that truly was a gift to my heart it was so awesome! So, I guess it's about the moments of Christmas this year. moments where as Jarret put so well, you find Christ "in" you. You find Christ "in" others. You find Christ "in" gifts and songs and you are different because Jesus is dwelling "in" you. "IN" your muse.

"In."

What a word.

Dearest Kristin - Thanks for the poetry post... that was really beautiful.

I wish we could get together and decorate cookies and stuff.

Much love to you.

Oh my word for next year "grace" ("in" will be a part of that)... also another new years resolution I WILL NOT BE DEVISTATED THIS YEAR. Its amazing what a little mantra like that will do for a depressive. Even in the last month, there have been many little moments that I have already started to tell myself "I will not be devistated"...
