The most recent holiday was really good to me. Well, I should say Ian, my wonderful gift of a boyfriend, was really good to me.

4:30 P.M. We met at my apartment and drove to Whitefish. We had 5:30 reservations at Tupelo Grille. We arrived and Ian ordered us Wontons, me a glass of Pinot Grigio and himself a Fat Tire. Awesome Wontons...
Dinner was a Sesame Peppered Ahi Tuna Steak for me with jalapeno mashed potatoes and a seaweed salad for me and for Ian a Cajun Creole Combo with Fried Catfish, Shrimp Creole, Crawfish Etoufee, and Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya. Holy moly were they delicious! Dessert followed and was the best part...their bread pudding is to die for! It was especially cool since Ian had never tasted Bread Pudding before.

So, we finish dinner and start walking out the door towards the car when I see a horse driven carriage parked right by my car. Ian ushers me towards it with a huge smile on his face. I get giddy...
The couple that's driving are super sweet and chat with us as we stroll all around Whitefish. The night could have only been more perfect if it had started snowing. But, then we couldn't see the stars, so maybe not. Speaking of the stars...they were amazing. Ian and I snuggled down under the lap blanket and held each other close. Passers by showed big smiles and waved. Women looked at their dates with, hey why not that for me? and kids giggled when we kissed.
It was awesome!
As we drove home, I couldn't help but just smile. We reached my apartment and as I opened the door and stepped into the hallway, I saw rose petals sprinkled all the way down to my apartment door. The permasmile on my face grew bigger as we walked towards my room. The next door revealed behind it a candle lit room with a valour blanket laid out on the floor, strawberries and champange. Isn't he the greatest!!!
We played Boggle and a card game called Blink for hours to finish off the night while we drank Moet Chandon and ate strawberries. Laughter insued and a great night was had!

I am so blessed to be sharing life with Ian right now.
How was your V-Day!?!?!?!

Whoa, all I got was dinner and a Chicago Bears t-shirt. Who is this man and does he give private lessons?
