A2D2

Tomorrow morning at 8:00 I embark on a new journey. I am going to see a pychiatrist about my Adult ADHD. After listening to "Driven to Distraction" book on tape, I have not been able to put down the possibilty that my belief that medication is wrong for me might be something I have to give up. So, I looked online and read all I could and came to the decision that I would at least give it a try. I mean why not, right?
If I can honestly be diagnosed by a specialist and monitored, it's worth a go. And if being on this medication helps me be the very best that I can be, then seriously why not?!
So, I told my boss I needed the morning off about a week ago, when I confirmed my appointment and he's been nothing but supportive. He was curious to hear more about it so yesterday we had a nice long chat about it. At the end of the conversation he said, "I've been thinking for about a week of a new nick name for you. What is the acronym again? I'm all, "Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder."

"Yeah, that's what I thought, A2D2!!!!" as he giggled and walked away.
