The strangest part about this time of year is what we refer to as Fly Season. It's when all, and I mean every single one of the flys that is living or even partly living comes to gather inside. It doesn't matter if they are inside your car, house or boat, as long as they are warmer than they were outside, they are happy little flys. And it's scary and sick and wrong. Because they are everywhere.
Last night as I was trying to enjoy a very wonderful moment, one of these little boogers who has found residency in my cabin, flys staight into my face, hits the wall and then lands on my hair. Of course, I flipped out. (I don't like bugs all too much, especially in my hair) and scream bloody murder. Then the thing decides it's going to die right then and there. It's like they take their kamikazee last flights or something. I can hear their little minds ticking right now....

"I have to have one last landing."
"I'll shit and throw up and lick it back up and then,
in peace I can die."

It's sick! And I'm so glad it's almost over.

Speaking of my cabin...tomorrow night I will be taking pictures to post on here. It's coming along so nicely. I finally feel like I live somewhere. It's mine. Well, not really...mine, but mine for now. And it's super cool. Ty came over last night and helped me put together my new dresser. And it was super wonderfully sucky. Super because we laughed a lot and played a lot. Wonderfull because it took so damn long, but that's what happens when the directions say
This will take 4 hours and 20 mins to put together. You'll need 2 people, a screwdriver and a hammer. We didn't have a hammer. So we used a staple gun as our hammer.
Sucky because it took frickin' forever and it was not the easiest POS that Tyler ever put together. He hates it, but it looks good so I'm happy.

Ok, so two other random things...
I love my friend Jeffery Wager. He's a flamin' gay man who lives in podunk Montana and keeps me on my toes. We talk fashion, pop culture and hair all of the time. So, Jeffery is looking for a HUSsssband and I promised him I would include mention of him on my blog one day. So, his photo and a bio will be posted w/in the next week. Happy Thanksgiving Jeff!!!

Wood heat. Gotta have it! Ever since I joined the volunteer fire department I am fasinated with fire. And my cabin's only source of heat is FIRE. Wood burning fire! And it's the warmest, takes the longest to start, bestest source of heat around.
There's just a peak into the life in the cabin. More to come...in days!
Off to the Banff Film Festival along with some great beer!
