road trips and such

IOWA CITY:
in my opinion the perfect midwest college town
accompanied by 42 bars within a 4 block radius
sorority houses, light posts usd for messages, fliers and the like.
$2.50 martini nights, sandwiches named after college flair.
Apartment buildings shared by college co-ed
the boys apartment with great movie choices v. 202 (not so much)
small rooms, small kitchens with plastic cups that work for everything from cereal to wine!
Amazing connect with Kristen Gac
good sleep next to her with lots of weighted comforters that ROCK. Please tell me is there anything better than a weighted comforter?
OMAHA:
Speaking of awesome blankets...thank you Kate and JD.
So I landed in Omaha by way of some random back road which I believed to get me to North O sooner than 80 would. I was wrong, but there is this kickin' look out spot that would be great to go see for reals with some farmers that can explain exactly what I was looking at some day in the future. Perhaps when I move to Omaha for 2 weeks in June?!?! I was guest to a wonderful home and fab food of sloppy joes, bbq chips and salad. You have to meet the famous Tina, Adam and their tickelish daughter Erin and precious Ethan! Dusk came as we verandad on the front porch. I watched "the L word" for the first time, smoked a lot, drank some good wine many beers and all in all, it was a "phenomenol" night!
COLORADO:
Now I sit in the midst of trees covered in snow, hanging with Van an awesome 6 1/2 year old. His dad and Lindsey are going to class tonight so we get to hang some more. We're going to build a castle, probably engage in some tickling and kung foo fighting, play Harry Potter and the prisoner of Askiban on Game Boy. Our road trip went pracitcally flawless. We almost didn't get out on Omaha, but managed to make it here to Colorado in 8 hours. The end was a drive up switch backs and snow. Can we say thank you Passatt for going the extra mile! The snow is unbelievable, it just keeps coming down up here in the grey house with windows. I am finally in the mountains and I am at peace.
