They say it's my birthday!!!!

Krissy age 20 months
Me: age 20 months

What has changed in all these years? I believe birthdays are days for two of my favorite disciplines...reflection and celebration. Reflection on what has been accomplished since the last birthday.
~Worked a job for over a year!
~Lost 15 lbs.
~Applied to school
~Made some great decisions about myself and my desires.
~Made some really crappy decisions about myself and my desires.
~Learned from all of my decisions
~Threw some great parties! See past blogs/flickr account.
~ Tomorrow maybe I will write more...give some good quotes/thoughts/whatnot.

Thank you David at 18David Maska for being the first to wish me Happy Birthday on my actual birthday! He's going to kill me for putting that picture up on here...but hey, you left it out there for the world to see, so why can't I?!?!

Man was I a toe head or what?
I have always had really really really blond hair. Today, I think I am going to go add some more highlights to this head of mine. Not too many...just a few to pick things up a bit. Yes, that sounds like a great idea. Happy Birthday to me....
Those Big Baby Blues...
Now they tend to run from shades of green to grey...and all the blues in between. As my dear friend Emily loves to quote with a very fun English accent, "God put lightning in your eyes!" And the story goes, one day while working at a summer camp, my friend Bryan from South Africa came up and started chatting it up with me. As we are talking he walks right up to my face almost as if he were to kiss me, looks straight into my eyes and says out of the blue..."God put lightning in your eyes!" What a compliment though, huh?!?!
So, after reading that wonderful book, The Red Tent, I have curiosity if there is any meaning behind that. I love that in the old days they interpreted dreams and it wasn't thought of as evil. And I have questions...was it that God was angry that the Israelites had other Gods or did he just desire to be first, because he IS God over everything? It almost feels blasphemis to ask such a question after growing up in the church environments I did.

So I guess I will go to the deeper places.
What do I want for this next year? What are my dreams? Plans? What do I hope to accomplish?
Here are a couple of things I know that I want...
~Finish hair school.
~Lose 20 pounds and keep it off
~finish my t-shirt blanket
And since, others have done it although it's totally late...since today is the day...Here's a crazy birthday wish list for all you last minute shoppers:

~ipod- nano
~This camera
~A snowboard
~AVEDA stuff
~Amazon wishlist

Kristin - HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

I love your question and I know exactly what you mean on feeling blasephomous... (SP horribly wrong there, whatev).

Ever since Katie told me she was thinking about some things in Genesis, my brain has been working overtime on some of those things.

Peace. You should join me in trying to do something new for every week of this year.

Please girl...sarajane~ can i please join your fun thing....something new each and every week. OK!!!!! There's no question. This week, I tried to make out with a Chilean. He's so hot and I work with him, it failed, but that's ok. I still tried, right? Does that count...what's next weeks thing to try?

Kristen,

I know I have been hard to track down as of late, but wanted to wish you the happiest of birthdays... I am glad you were born, love the journey that you have been on, and deeply believe in the journey that is to come. Hope to see you in the west one of the days, if only for a short time.

Lots of Love,
Nick
