movie reviews

Harry Potter: C-
didn't like the anti-climatical (if that's a word...Brandon?) ending. I know they have to set you up for the next movie and all. I know you get to SEE Valdimor, and discover that what's his faces dad is a bad guy (which we already kinda knew) and maybe because I don't read the books am left with questions. BUT, all in all, I sat there for what felt like eternity and was sadly disappointed. I do like the turns that are taking place though. So, maybe it did it's job in setting me up for the next one. Harry, you're getting more and more interesting as time goes by.

Shop Girl: A
LOVED this movie... I loved the shots that they used throughout the movie. Loved Claire except in her crying scenes. I have always hated when she crys. It looks so pathtic...really hurting and so sad. The whole father/daughter weird older man scenario was played out so well. And I loved/hated/loved the real pain it spoke of, the awkwardness of dating, the rituals and what not. I adored the character of Jeremy and rejoiced with his coming of being, inspirational one life touching another and community type of deal.

Two books made into movies. I think I shall commit myself to reading both. Shoot, that means the entire series of Harry Potter, huh?!?! Anyone have the first one and want to send it on to me?

Movie reviews aren't my deal, so don't shoot me for trying...
