it's overtaking the valley

so I thought I could beat it. I thought I could escape the insanity of this horrible cough/cold thing that is going around. They are calling it Influenza and almost everyone I know has it or has had it. I am trying like crazy to take care of myself, but to my dismay, the cough part started today. It's that harsh chest cold where you cough so deeply you think you've been smoking for years. My fire fighter 1 instructor has it, my co-workers have it, my sister and her babies had it, the town has it...how I am not supposed to get it?
So, I am taking today off. To rest, and relax and start watching the 2nd season of Alias. I've been on the cliff hanger of the end of Season 1 now for over three weeks. Today, I will find out just what the heck is going on. Woo woo!!!

I miss Chicago immenesly these days. I miss my friends at Emmett's. I miss my church friends, and I miss WCCC. I love my life here in Montana for sure, but there are days when all I want to do is drive the 25 hours and 37 min. east to the land I know as home. But, instead I'm going to Denver! It's the Radius Retreat coming up here in April and I cannot wait to see my friends there! It's a much needed vacation and although it will be super short, it will be great!
Off to watch movies...
Be well my friends!

Hey Kristen - So i have been lurking on your blog for a long time... but your post made me want to comment.... I'm going to the radius retreat too. (And I am going to see Erin for a couple days too) I know I haven't talked to you for years and years... but I am excited to catch up with you in Denver. I am jealous that you are in beautiful Montana - it is so amazing how life turns out nothing like we planned it it to be back in high school. kinda strange.

I'm sorry you are sick... it seems like everyone here in chicago is sick too :(

Email me if you want to... my email is bethers1@gmail.com. Otherwise I will see you in Denver :)

See, we are still connected, we were sick at the same time. I hope you feel better.

Put a cool rag on the back of yer neck, you know that fixes everything.
